Human Resources Intern

JOB SPECIFICS
Who May Apply: Students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or related field. Interns must maintain active student status for the duration of the internship.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Human Resources Intern will gain experience in human resources by providing assistance in various projects including recruitment, onboarding, job evaluation, employee development, risk management and benefits. 

Desirable Qualifications: 
  • Internship applied toward school credit, preferably in Human Resources
  • Human resources experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

HOURS/DAYS: Up to 24 hours per week within a standard work week (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Hours and days worked per week is flexible, based on the needs of the intern.

SELECTION TECHNIQUE: Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.


ANTICIPTATED HIRING RATE: $12.30- $14.35/hr

  • Mapping of Human Resources processes
  • Job evaluation and job description audit
  • Benefit open enrollment
  • Risk management project
Requirements:
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
