Identity and Access Management (IAM) Support Analyst II

THE POSITION
Hennepin County's Information Security division is seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Support Analyst II. This position will be responsible for the day to day functions within the IAM team and identifying and implementing IAM process/procedure improvements via task automation, system integration, and process improvement.

Location and hours:
This position will be located downtown Minneapolis at 701 4th Avenue South. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position (and training) will be remote indefinitely. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and are flexible.

About the position type:
This is a full-time, benefit earning position. This position is eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1,145.55 that can be earned annually based on performance.

In this position, you will:
  • Manage entitlements and the identity lifecycle, e.g. joiner, mover, leaver processes, in an enterprise environment.
  • Use IAM tools and scripting to execute account management activities related to entitlement management, access reviews, alerting, and logging across multiple systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem analysis by working with business and technical staff.
  • Follow frameworks and processes related to Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and least privilege. 
  • Assist with regular access reviews and attestation processes. 
Need to have:
  • One of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an information technology or a related information technology field.
  • Two year college/vocational/technical degree in a technology field or approved information technology certificate and two or more years of information technology experience. 
  • Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses and two or more years of information technology experience. 
  • Completion of approved Hennepin County IT internship and two or more years of information technology experience. 
  • Four or more years of information technology experience.
Nice to have:
  •  Experience with:
  • Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online.
  • Application support and/or troubleshooting access issues with end users.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn a new technology or skill that was applicable in a work setting.
  • Ability to:
  • Learn new tools, processes, and work methods based on business needs.
  • Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow, and determine solutions.
  • Communicate with individuals of varying technical abilities and job function.
  • Perform data analysis and make recommendations based on data.
  • Read and understand technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell.
  • General knowledge of platforms, including Windows, desktop, and mobile.
