This role reports to the Engineering Manager- Bearings, and is located in Greenville, South Carolina. As a Research & Development (R&D) Co-op you will be supporting our digital sensor business. This position supports wireless sensors for bearings, enclosed gearing, and power transmission components.
Your responsibilities
- Assist R&D engineers in product development projects for wireless sensors.
- Engage in Lean continuous improvement projects focused on engineering processes and product design.
- Support product engineers and lab technicians on product and component testing.
- Collaborate with application engineers focusing on product performance.
- Support post-order technical support.

Your background
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical or Computer engineering bachelor’s degree program in the US.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Strong analytic skills with an emphasis on critical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for ideas.
- Familiar with MS Office and Solid works.
