Service Desk Intern

Job Summary

Primary responsibility of the Service Desk Intern is to support the IT team on assigned task related to incoming service desk request from end users. This role will perform basic user active directory administration, desktop hardware and software installation, configuration and support task. The Service Desk Intern will log activities utilizing an incident management database, and maintains historical records related to assigned task.




Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

·        Supports IT team in the deployment of desktop hardware, software and phones.
·        Supports IT Team in troubleshooting and resolution of desktop hardware, software or other related problems.
·        Supports IT team in administration of active directory including but not limited to adding, removing, or updating user account information, password resets, security groups and permissions.
·        Supports IT team in administration of the Office 365 email, collaboration and phone environment.
·        Supports IT Team in end user training and ticket resolution documentation that supports the resolution of service desk issue tickets
·        Supports IT team in other related IT task as needed.
·        Provides proactive, timely and thorough customer service to end users.
·        Provides outstanding communication, provides proactive and informative follow-up and feedback.

Education/Qualifications

·        Minimum of working towards degree in Computer Information Systems field or equivalent work experience required.
·        Working knowledge of desktop hardware and software such as Windows and Office 365 required.
·        Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
·        Ability to work effectively with remote end users.
·        Ability to establish, develop and maintain strong, long term and positive working relationships with team members and end users.
·        Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with high attention to detail.
·        Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner under time constraints with minimal supervision.
·        Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
·        Previous customer service experience preferred.
·        Ability to service Spanish speaking end users a plus but not required.
Salary range $12 to $15 per hour based on experience.
