Laboratory Assistant
Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ordering, stocking, and inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment
- Preparation of standard laboratory chemicals and reagents
- Assistance with laboratory inspections and upkeep
- Rodent colony maintenance
- Rodent behavioral testing
- Opportunites to conduct independent experiments under supervision of the principal investigator
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science (or equivalent degree)
- >6 months of academic lab research experience
- Available for full-time employment (40 hours per week)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to function independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in neuroscience, biology, or other life/phsyical sciences
- Experience with rodent colony management
- Experience with small animal surgical procedures
- Experience with fluorescence microscopy
