ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
FamilyWise has been keeping children safe and helping families lead stable, healthy and productive lives since 1976. We educate, empower and enrich families who are struggling with poverty, substance abuse, mental health issues, homelessness and domestic violence.
 
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the coordination of referrals and scheduling of supervised parenting sessions that are received from Child Welfare Agencies, Self-Referral or Family Court Services. This position is responsible for fostering the development of healthy family relationships by training and supporting staff who facilitate supervised parenting. 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
·       Intake Coordination that includes the ability to document and recall facts in a clear and concise manner. Adherence to the system for managing pending files and minimizing wait time from intake to parenting time.
·       Coordination of scheduling of staff and families that includes the ability to master the client data base system, be proficient in outlook and word. The ability to multitask and adhere to timelines.
·       Training and Support includes becoming familiar with the on-boarding process for staff and interns and providing hands on training with staff and interns. The coordinator would be required to work a varied schedule to meet the needs of training. On-call duties fall into the duties and responsibilities. The Coordinator must have the ability to provide written feedback and assessment of the interns’/staff skills and strengths.
·       Documentation includes the ability to review and provide the county agencies and family court systems clear, concise and professional documentation in a timely manner. An example of this would be providing documentation for subpoenas and testimony.
·       Management of Client Database. This would include assessment of current systems for revising data collection for efficiency and accuracy. Being able to adhere to the integrity of the system by following the processes for pulling and managing reports and data.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • Supervisory experience in a diverse setting
  • Degree in the Human Service field, or in the process of obtaining a degree in the Human Service or a related field, such as psychology, child development, social work or family social science. Years of experience in the field of social services, child care or a related field could substitute for a formal education
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  •  Knowledge and experience working with culturally and racially diverse populations in lower socio-economic conditions
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is highly valued
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Understands the importance of customer service and being professional
  • Demonstrates skills in conflict management
·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Use good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority
Licenses and/or Certifications:
·       Valid MN Drivers’ License, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet FamilyWise’s driving record requirements.
