Systems Administrator - Job ID 10358

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge DoD and intelligence programs for six decades. Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data assurance, and ground stations.

We are seeking an intermediate Systems Administrator to assist in installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting hardware/software on Department of Defense (DoD) customer devices. The selected candidate will also support and perform cyber security related tasks in support of DoD customers using overarching DoD cyber security policies and other DoD Directives. Successful applicants will be passionate about their work, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and take an active role in producing high-quality, professional results.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related degree with five+ years of related experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
· Strong time and project management skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment while making direct contributions to team success
· Must be a US citizen
· Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
· Must be able to travel

Preferred Experience:
· Microsoft Windows (Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016)
· Linux (CentOS, RHEL)
· Cyber security tools (Assured Compliance Assessment Suite (ACAS), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Secure Content Automated Protocol (SCAP), other DoD vulnerability scanning and reporting tools)
· Networking infrastructure, hardware and principles (Ethernet, IP, VPN, routing, switches)
· Network-attached storage protocols and principles (NFS, SMB, iSCSI, Fiber Channel)
· Hardware virtualization (VMware, KVM, etc.)
· Scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Perl, etc.)
· Software engineering concepts and industry best practices
· Version control principles and tools (SVN, Git, Bamboo, etc.)
· OS- and network-level security controls (Firewalls, VLANs, OS security hardening)
