EL/Bilingual Teacher

CESA 6 is seeking to employ a part-time to full-time EL/Bilingual Teacher to support contracted services with school districts within the CESA 6 region. The EL/Bilingual Teacher will be responsible to plan, develop, implement and administer workshops, training and network opportunities as it pertains to EL/Bilingual/Bicultural education, Title III and the Immigrant Grant. The EL/Bilingual Teacher will provide direct EL/Bilingual services to students, as well as create, promote and distribute resources as it pertains to the CESA 6 Language and Culture Center, Title III Consortium and Immigrant Grant.

Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Develop agendas (local and statewide) to ensure strong communication with our district partners;
• Develop, collaborate and proactively monitor the Immigrant Grant budget with the finance department and make adjustments as necessary;
• Manage expenditure approvals for the Immigrant Grant in alignment with the fiscal policies of the agency;
• Develop relevant resources as it pertains to Title III and Immigrant Grant;
• Support consortium, network and Immigrant Grant districts through relevant workshop and network opportunities;
• Communicate state and federal EL policy with districts and support districts in becoming compliant and/or maintaining compliance;
• Provide districts direct teacher and student support;
• Design and implement online educational services for students;
• Create and distribute online resources to further district support;
• Develop and deliver relevant forms of training opportunities;
• Perform direct project work;
• Work directly with the Director of ESSA/Titlef Student Success Center, as well as other department members to design, develop, deliver, contracted services and supports for the following projects/services:
o Title III
o Immigrant Grant
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Other responsibilities of this position may include:
• Support all projects, products and services designed, delivered and supported by the Language and Culture Center team;
• Develop knowledge and expertise in regards to state policy as it pertains to EL/Bilingual/Bicultural education;
• Perform annual outcomes to align with the established agency, division, department and individual KPIs;
• Build relationships, advocate and influence ideas with internal and external customers and stakeholders;
• Attend appropriate conferences, workshops and in-services.

This position requires a solid educational background including a Bachelors degree, preferably in education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license in English as a Second Language and/or Bilingual-Bicultural Education, PK-12 is required. A minimum of 3 full years teaching experience as an ESL/Bilingual professional is required. This position supports multiple school districts, so the individual hired must be able to drive between and within school districts.

This position requires experience in planning, delivering and monitoring professional development and coaching of EL/Bilingual education to educators, as well as possessing an understanding and general knowledge of educational best practices in regards to EL/Bilingual education.
