Welder / Fabricator – Day Shift
Day: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Davis Tool, Inc. is a manufacturing company supporting the high tech, medical, consumer products, and aerospace industries. Welders work on a wide variety of projects varying from one-off to small production runs. The majority of work requires very good TIG skills: aluminum, stainless and mild steel sheet metal. Other work to include MIG .035 or occasional flux core 1./16”. Our large climate controlled shop offers a clean environment regardless of season.
Required skills :
- Recognize standard AWS weld symbols
- Read and interpret drawings
- Communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a positive team environment
- Attention to detail
- Inspect parts using common tools such as tape measures, calipers, height gauges, and protractors
- Satisfies quality system and safety requirements
- Meets production schedules
- Handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated experience welding aluminum as thin as 040” and 24 ga SS
- Ability to sit, stand or move for an entire shift
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial but not required.
This regular full time position is in a manufacturing environment. The work often includes operating press brakes, grinders, and other precision fabrication equipment. Some cross-training is available. Applicants must pass weld test and drug screen before hiring.
