Technical Sales

Technical Sales Representative

Summary:
Davis Tool, A leading producer of parts and complex assemblies in Hillsboro, Oregon has an opportunity for a Technical Sales position. We are looking for an experienced metals industry professional to develop and to provide technical leadership for large customers. This position reports to the Sales Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical sales support for customer development
  • Review customer needs, comparisons, and alignments to available Davis Tool processes
  • Develop new business proposals from customer drawings, specifications, Bills of Material, cost and budget models
  • Meet or exceed sales and marketing performance goals

Competencies
  • Proficient in customer development and market evaluations
  • Experience in custom manufacturing technologies
  • Quoting parts and assemblies within a quality, lead time, and cost structure
  • Communication skills with external and internal technical resources
  • Experience with Aerospace or Medical products is a plus

Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Education and/or Experience
• 4 year degree in Business/Marketing or significant experience, and
• 2-3 years Sales experience in Manufacturing/Aerospace or related field, and
• 1-2 years Precision machine services manufacturing
Salary: DOE
