Position Summary:   The position is assigned to the DCF Bureau of Regional Operations (BRO) Western Regional Office (WRO) in Eau Claire and works as a member of the regional office team to perform administrative support, quality assurance, and program support activities for DCF programs that serve children and families, including child welfare, child support, child care subsidy, youth justice and Wisconsin Works (W-2). The regional team includes the Area Administrator supervisor, regional program coordinators for the different DCF program areas, and the Regional Program Specialist. The position works with local agencies including county human service departments, county child support agencies, tribes, and private service provider agencies.

The position performs quality assurance activities, program support and administrative activities as part of the regional office team. Quality assurance activities include conducting case reviews, reviewing program data, handling customer complaints, and determining compliance with program requirements. Program support activities include arranging monitoring reviews, maintaining local agency information, and responding to information requests. The position also supports regional office administrative operations.

This position also provides administrative support to the Bureau Director and WRO central office staff. Activities include managing calendars and arranging meetings, and special projects assigned by the Bureau Director.

Minimally qualified applicants will have:
  • Experience working with quality assurance methods and/or case review processes (reviewing and/or analyzing cases, conducting surveys, etc.)
  • Experience working with customer complaints and/or requests for information
  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional setting (answering phones, maintaining/updating spreadsheets, responding to emails, writing/proofreading memos, etc.)
Well-qualified applicants will have:
  • Experience working with children and family programs (child welfare, youth justice, childcare, child support, W-2, etc.)
  • Experience interpreting policy and/or procedures
  • Experience using data report and/or data conducting analysis
  • Experience using complex information systems (WEBI, CARES, CWW, KIDS, etc.)
