Youth Employment Coordinator

Job Title: Youth Employment Coordinator

Description: The Youth Employment Coordinator is responsible for developing and overseeing all programming and services provided annually by the Youth Job Center. This includes all summer youth employment opportunities provided by the agency.

Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor Degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of (3) years of full-time experience in a human service or youth development setting. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills are required.
  • Knowledge of youth employment services, trauma-informed care and positive youth development practices required.
  • Knowledge of services with Dane County School Districts, alternative programs, familiarity with Youth Justice/Dane County Dept. of Human Services.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct supervision of Youth Job Center staff, including hiring, termination and completion of employee performance evaluations.
  • Recruits, trains, and provides program participants with assistance in securing unsubsidized and subsidized employment opportunities.
  • Develops and updates the Youth Job Center training curriculum and conducts training workshops both within and outside the agency.
  • Coordinates the collection of data necessary to make accurate and timely reports to funding and regulatory agencies and submits completed reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that student interns and volunteers receive regular, on-going feedback regarding their performance.
  • Ensures program compliance with client documentation and reporting standards and with agency policy and procedures.

Hours: This is a 40 hour per week position with flexible office hours Monday-Friday. Based upon program and client needs, some evening and weekend hours are required.

Transportation: A valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation is required

Compensation Package: Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.
