Job Description
Creative Works is seeking an Artistic Conceptual Designer. The ideal candidate will have intimate knowledge of digital tools to aid in the presentation of ideas as well as to oversee, contribute, and be the catalyst for creating “The Wow Effect” in our Design department. The key result area is to take an idea and move it to reality within our design department and then through our manufacturing plant.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the creative execution of a project in the front and back end of the design process including sketch work, 3D renderings, illustrations, and graphic design file creation.
- Produce preliminary conceptual design illustrations as needed while working with a prospective client's budget.
- Create props and themed environment "stage sets" for the end-user to play within and interact with others in a safe manner to create powerful emotions and memories.
- Utilize the resources of the Design department to assist in pulling together ideas and concepts for finishes and aesthetics for our clients.
- Collaborate with multiple teams within the company and be a conduit to help execute the clients’ vision.
- Interact with Design, Project Management, and Sales teams to create preliminary design concepts and details needed for sales and production tools to share with potential clients for selling our attractions,
- Excellent communication skills, follow-through, and sound judgment is a necessity for this position.
- Ideal candidates would possess foundational knowledge in industry-standard design software (listed below) to accomplish their duties.
Software
- Adobe Creative Suite for creating visual presentations as well as creating graphic design files for print and production.
- 3D modeling programs - Solidworks is preferred to create 3D models as well as finish and render completely engineered models after they have gone through our engineering team.
- Zbrush or Maya knowledge is a plus, but not required.
- Sketchup knowledge is a plus, but not required.
- Google Suite for emails, spreadsheets, presentations, and documents.
Keys to Success
- Artistic design to take an idea or sketch and fully render it in 3D using Solidworks or a graphic illustration program.
- Familiarity with vectors and their use for importing and exporting into other software.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques, and production systems.
Qualification Requirements
- Strong computer skills as they relate to creative programs
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting is preferred
- Art degree or design degree preferred
- Portfolio of previous work experience

Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday
Salary: $35k - $55k + bonus and benefits yearly
