Social Media Intern (remote)

This is an exciting volunteer internship opportunity for a social media/marketing/communications student to develop his/her skill set while contributing expertise to a community nonprofit. This internship is remote and has lots of flexibility for start & end dates, as well as schedule and hours.

We are an up-and-coming nonprofit that offers powerful programming for cancer centers and schools (please see our mission statement in our company description). We currently have a social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin, and we are looking for someone to help us expand and deepen our social media presence so that we are engaging with multiple audiences.
The volunteer intern will help us strategically expand and deepen our social media presence so that we are engaging with multiple audiences.

Preferred skills & experience:
Design experience on Canva or a similar platform - It's the platform that we love & use!
Project planning experience - We use a project plan/timeline to support the social media theme and to plan the roll out of our supporting design elements.
Brand guide development
Team leadership experience - This person will co-chair/chair our Connections Crew (CC) . The CC creates our annual social media theme calendar and the CC meets virtually each month to discuss the monthly theme and corresponding deliverables.
