As an Accounting Assistant on our team you will work with all facets of accounts payable, purchasing, & vendors to help support our rapidly growing company.

As a valued team contributor your tasks will include performing a variety of routine accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures like reconciling bank accounts, posts to and balancing general or subsidiary ledgers, process payments, and compile segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. You may also contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve common problems. The perfect person for this opportunity should be familiar with accounting and bookkeeping procedures as you will routinely review vendor forms for completeness and accuracy before submitting to corporate. Assist with processing Accounts Payable vouchers and obtain all information needed for submission against company policies and procedures. Reconcile monthly credit card statements activity, assist with audits, fact checks and resolving discrepancies. Accounting Assistant Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' of experience in accounting including data entry, coding and review of Accounts Payable invoices and expense reports
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being customer service oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred Experience & Skills as an Accounting Assistant:

In addition to the experience and skills above, if you have additional experience, proficiency in SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Deltek Costpoint and a working knowledge of government requirements related to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) you will be able to accelerate your effectiveness and impact.
