Wild Salmon Category Coordinator Intern

By developing a thorough understanding of Pacific Seafood, an internship position will provide you with insight into the seafood industry and develop leadership, presentation, communication, and project management skills.

About the Position

As a Wild Salmon Category Coordinator, you will work in unison with our wild salmon category manager and team in Mukilteo, WA to support our consolidated fresh wild salmon program over the summer. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in purchasing and supply chain administration specific to the food industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
In addition to the primary project listed above, duties include but not limited to:
  • Be a role model in promoting and applying The Pacific Seafood Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Teamwork and Excellence) at all times
  • Process all vendor purchase orders and offset invoicing each week
  • Track, record, and process all vendor credits
  • Use our APC system to process 90% of our production
  • Prepare project overview and presentation for executive leadership

Qualifications 
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required:
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Must have experience simplifying complex information and presenting to diverse audiences

Preferred:
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Valid driver’s license

B. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Desired
  • Ability to cross-functionally network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
  • Inquisitive, creative, and process orientated mindset
  • Basic business knowledge
  • Self-starter. Requires limited direction or supervision
  • Problem solver. Able to respond to problems by gathering research and feedback

  • Ability to travel as needed
