CAE Validation Intern | Altair Engineering, Inc.

he CAE Validation Intern will assist the CAE validation Engineer in testing and evaluation of various functionalities of HyperWorks CAE products (HyperMesh, HyperView , HyperGraph and HW CFD). The functionalities include model import and export, FE model creation, Analysis setup, model editing, solver execution and post-processing. He or she will work with software product development team, creating models and automated scripts that allow product development teams to perform automated regression testing and identify issues in the software.

Responsibilities:

-Create model files for testing.

-Testing of various functional areas of Altair HyperWorks software Package

-Update the current suite of automated tests to meet the latest release needs

-Add new tests for functional areas that currently do not have any automation

Desired Skills:

-Junior status minimum in BS or MS Mechanical Engineering

-Basic FEA course completed

-Utilized Hyperworks products, especially HyperMesh for project or course work

-Knowledge of any Finite element solver such as Nastran, Ansys, Radioss, Ls-dyna , CFD solvers etc.

-Candidates who have an enthusiastic "can do" attitude and an eagerness to learn and develop their skills.

-Exposure or knowledge of programming/Scripting language is plus
