Accountant

Job Information
To provide financial analysis and communication relative to productivity improvements. Balance sheet account reconciliation. Monthly closing process including accrual and expense analysis (vacation, holiday, Quality Control Index, etc.) Fixed asset management. Assist with forecasting and annual operating plan. 

Role & Responsibility
  • Account Reconciliation & Audit-Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Work with external auditors on various requests for analysis and information.
  • Assist in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger.
  • Assist in periodic activities, such as internal controls, annual plan, physical inventory, annual standard setting, etc.
  • Fixed Asset Management-Capital Expenditure Request (CER) verification.
  • Capital Expenditure Request (CER)/Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) tracking. Fixed asset subledger.
  • Fixed asset audits.
  • Monthly Report Compilation and Analysis-Management Reports - Daily Earned Hours, Department spending, etc. Write queries/reports in general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to gain better detail of spending variances.
  • Provide management with monthly analysis of actual performance vs. forecast, plan, and prior year.
  • Work with departmental managers on monthly expense explanations/analysis and budget preparation.
  • Monthly closing process including accrual and expense analysis.
  • Provide cost center variances.
  • Support NPD process-Analyze financial justification by working with cross functional teams reviewing NPV calculations, and related financials. 
  • Provide estimated and actual Standard Cost for new products. 
  • Reviewing actuals versus budgets versus forecast.
  • Additional projects as assigned.

Job Requirement
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Experience Required: 2>5 years
  • Travel: <10%
  • Knowledge of financial accounting
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbally and in written form.
  • Conversation skills in English
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful

  • To plan the job responsibilities in the monthly cycle in order to meet the cut-offs and tight closing schedule, complete balance sheet and variance analysis, timely account reconciliation, and work on special reports done on a monthly, yearly, and quarterly basis.
