Residential Counselors - Paid Internship and Summer Opportunities

If working within a group home setting at Devereux Advanced Behavioral with boys and girls ages 6-21 with complex mental health and behavioral health challenges, high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or substance abuse and mental health co-occuring disorders sounds rewarding to you then this is the job for you!

Group home staff design house-specific routines, chores, and activities that support an individual's growth and development.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts is located in Rutland, MA and serves students with complex mental health and behavioral challenges.Located in Rutland, MA, this position is responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned and provides and ensures therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

Schedule:
Full Time: Monday through Friday 7a-3p
Part-Time: Monday through Friday 9a-3p
 
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or High-school diploma with relevant human services experience required. Academic studies in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, and education are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Driver’s license is required
