Sales and Marketing Internship
An entry-level position providing an in-depth experience in several aspects of sports marketing/sales. We encourage college students to apply but all applicants will be considered. Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Ability to work remotely will be possible for some tasks during the spring. Must be comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization as well as outside contacts. Strong time management and attention to details are required. This is a non-paid, for-credit position. Gas cards and meal tickets will be provided to interns.
OPENINGS: 2-3 for both Spring and Summer
RESPONSIBILITIES BEFORE SEASON: Interns will be assisting the Marketing and Sales Directors with the following tasks before the season (spring semester):
· 5K planning
· Ad sales for programs
· Sponsorships for the ballpark
· Scheduling group outings for during the season
· Planning for promos during the season
· Planning for special promo ‘nights’ during the season
· Other items as necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES DURING THE SEASON: Interns will be working more on-site at the park for games during the season assisting with the following duties:
· Schedule group outings
· Continue planning and following through for events and promos
· Working program sales and merchandise sales
· Assistance with in-game events
· Set up and clean up before and after every game
· Must be available for all home games/team events unless excused
· All other duties as assigned
