Economic Support Specialist

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a full-time Economic Support Specialist position within the Department of Human Services. The job duties of the Economic Support Specialist include but are not limited to assess the human need for relief from poverty and its effects; to determine sources, types, and levels of assistance available by law and take proper action to issue benefits and conduct case management activities to eligible clients requesting such programs and services.
 
Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with one (1) year or more of experience as an Income Maintenance / Economic Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin OR Associate’s degree in a human services or financial related program required and four (4) years of recent human services or financial work experience preferred OR Bachelor’s degree in a human services or financial related program required one (1) year of recent human services or financial work experience preferred. Wage: $20.03 - $22.04 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
