Job Summary
Job Summary
This position exists to prepare and manage the daily processing reports, to create sweeps of bank accounts, approve ACH transactions and to assist in the reconciling of 600 plus bank statements each month, some on a weekly and daily basis, to assure all agency banking transactions are properly recorded in statewide accounting system (SWIFT), to assure agency deposits are properly credited to State’s bank accounts. Provide back up and support for the cash management division.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of professional experience in any of the following:
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Managing or assisting in the reconciliation of investments in a large entity.
  • Managing or assisting in the reconciliation of bank accounts and knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures.
An Associate's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or related degree may substitute six (6) months of experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or related degree may substitute one (1) year of experience.
All applicants must also have experience in the following:
  • Proven skill in effective communication, specifically verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of large complex spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with others.
  • Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations sufficient to compare and verify data to locate errors.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze reports and banking records sufficient to resolve problems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management and other staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the reconciliation of investments in a large entity and bank accounts.
  • Experience developing and extracting data from an information warehouse or mainframe system.
  • Experience with E-pay solutions.
  • Knowledge of diverse state agency structure.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, accounting terminology, and procedures.
