Comprehensive Community Services Supervisor (CCS)

Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Comprehensive Community Services Supervisor. This position will direct, coordinate and develop Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program and services and activities in accordance with WiStats 51.001(3s), DHS 36, and the needs of Waushara County.  Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing or related human service field is required. Licensure/certification as a mental health professional (social worker, therapist, licensed professional counselor) and/or a related field as acknowledged by DHS administration, or ability to obtain such licensure/certification within three years of hire date, is required. 1. Provide direct supervision for program case managers and contract personnel, including regularly scheduled staffings, monitoring worker/client schedules, supervision, performance evaluation and report reviews. Direct case and workload assignments to program staff. Function as the staff leader of the CCS unit.
2. Work in cooperation with the Clinical Supervisor, the assigned Ph.D. psychologist and psychiatrist, and all other DHS units. Maintain contacts with state regional staff and the Department’s Behavioral Health, CCS, and Integrated Services committees, provide program and participant review and staff training as necessary.
3. Monitor trends and direction in CCS, medications and treatment and program activities. Provide
education to various community based groups/participants regarding CCS and/or recovery from
Mental Illnesses and substance abuse. Accumulate resource information regarding CCS standards, requirements, directives, and trends that may affect those with mental illnesses and alcohol/drug addictions. Attend quarterly regional manager meetings and state conferences as directed. Attend and participate in Regional CCS meetings and activities.
4. Assure that all CCS participants have updated written treatment plans, that all MA service criteria are adhered to and that all possible billing is done in a timely manner by any and all staff associated with the programs.
5. Provide case management/service facilitation to selected clientele that includes visits for assessment of functioning, access to psychiatric care and medication monitoring, psychosocial or vocational rehabilitation, and daily life management. Develop, coordinate and implement treatment plans in accordance with program criteria. Provide all required court work and documentation in required time frames.
6. Keep supervision logs, treatment plans and reviews, in-depth assessments, mental status reports or any other required record information on all assigned clientele. Monitor unit staff work and provide quality assurance information. Review and sign all discharge summaries. Provide state monitoring reports.
7. Monitor revenues and expenditures for the program in cooperation with the Financial Program
supervisor, the Clinical Director and the Director. Seek new funding sources and opportunities for
extending program services.
8. Screen, assess and perform case management and/or therapy services as needed or directed by the Clinical Supervisor. Provide back-up crisis services on-call as needed/directed by the Clinical Director or Director.
9. Participate in the Department’s Management Team and all other Department staff activities as may be required.
10. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Clinical Director or the Director.
