Senior MacOS/iOS Software Engineer

Summary
We are looking for a MacOS/iOS Software Engineer to join our team and help us innovate and evolve our encryption and security product line. PKWARE is investing in an innovation team, and this position will be essential to the development of new capabilities within our software portfolio.

As an engineer, you will work on the innovation team to deliver new products and features with high quality and usability, and you will be critical to delivering functionality to our end-users on MacOS and iOS. Expect to be challenged to look beyond the obvious and develop solutions that are breaking new ground. You will get intimately familiar with how things work in the operating system and other third-party applications in order to develop security solutions that work with minimal user disruption.

What You’ll Do (Other duties may be assigned.)
  1. Work in close coordination with product management, quality assurance, user experience and other engineers to develop solutions for MacOS and iOS.
  2. Develop strategies for the deployment of our software and configuration of end-user systems to provide seamless integration with existing workflows.
  3. Work with the team to identify additional opportunities for innovation within our product lines.
  4. Provide thought leadership around MacOS & iOS development practices and contribute to development standards.
  5. Stay informed on new features and capabilities, along with new limitations as new versions of the operating systems are released and alert our architect and product management to potential issues or opportunities.
  6. Participate in cross-functional teams across platforms and products to ensure interoperability and consistency.
  7. Research and evaluate technology and make recommendations to support the company’s objectives.
  8. Lead technical review discussions with other engineers and product management.
  9. Ensure technical documentation is maintained.



Who You Are
1.    You have five years or more experience in software development in an enterprise software company.
2.    You have experience in multiple programming languages, such as Objective-C, Swift, C and Python.
3.    You are fluent in all aspects of software development from code to testing to documentation to source control and requirements definition.
4.    You have demonstrated experience with cryptography and key management, microservice architectures, internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP), and database programming.
5.    You understand application deployment and configuration to MacOS and iOS and aren’t afraid to peek under the covers to truly understand how the OS and third-party applications work and manage their data.
6.    You are an excellent oral and written communicator with developers and others in the business.
7.    You are passionate about security, usability and privacy.
8.    You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferably in a technical, engineering or business major, or have the equivalent work experience.
