The starting salary for 2019 is $41879.21 plus overtime available with liberal benefits including; Uniforms, minimum 3 weeks time-off annually, IMRF Retirement Plan, Health, Vision and Dental insurance available.
A MANDATORY ORIENTATION will be held on Tusday, January 21, 2020 in the EMA conference room which is located in the basement of the Law and Justice Center. Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m., Orientation begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. Immediately afterwards, the Written Test will be administered.
APPLICATIONS AND ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE BROUGHT WITH YOU THE NIGHT OF ORIENTATION. YOU MUST INCLUDE ALL PAST EMPLOYERS ON THE APPLICATION, REGARDLESS OF THE DURATION OF THE EMPLOYMENT. PRINT EXTRA EMPLOYMENT PAGES IF NECESSARY.
EXPERIENCED OFFICER applications are accepted by the Merit Commission on a continual (year-round) basis.
Incomplete applications (or applications without all the required documentation) will not be accepted.
