Process Safety Engineering Internship/Co-Op
Georgia-Pacific is seeking candidates for their Process Safety Engineering Internship/Co-Op at their Green Bay Operations Facility.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with documenting technical information related to high risk manufacturing processes to include but not limited to:
• Survey and document hydraulic and pressurized lubrication system safeguards
• Study Dust collection systems and document design specifications and safeguards
• Study Paper machine safety systems and document design specifications and safeguards
• Survey safe storage and bulk chemical systems to ensure accuracy of chemical reactivity database
• Update and refine Process safety SharePoint Site
• Develop process display for key process safety variables
Basic Qualifications:
• Enrolled in program related to Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, safety, or other similar technical field
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience reading blueprints, technical and mechanical drawings, Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s) and schematics
Potential for Advancement:
• Position experience would provide opportunity to apply for entry into engineer or safety development programs or other full-time positions throughout Koch Industries organization
