Emergency Management Intern

Brown County Emergency Management (BCEM) is seeking candidates for an Emergency Management Intern for the 2020 Spring Semester. Located in Green Bay, the intern would work approximately 8 to 12 hours a week.

DUTIES:
Assist Brown County Emergency Management (BCEM) Director and Coordinator with projects that support and promote preparedness, response, and recovery activities during daily and emergency operations. Duties will include work related to clerical, office, telephone, computer, and internet tasks.

DESIRED SKILLSETS:
The intern will be expected to have varying degrees of ability with typing, computer/internet software, and organizing skills. The intern must also have the ability to answer telephones and email messages professionally as a representative of BCEM. The ability to work semi-independently and perform low-level research and analysis is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS:
Intern will be required to sign a release of records agreement and complete a basic background check.

This internship is unpaid, therefore, students are encouraged to contact their faculty advisor to inquire about receiving academic credit for the experience. This internship has been approved by the internship coordinators for the Public and Environmental Affairs and Political Science majors.
