Summer College Intern - Renewable Development (Land Services/Management)

NextEra Energy Resources is one of the largest wholesale generators of electric power and renewable energy from the wind and sun in North America.
 
Position Specific Description
We are seeking interns interested in learning about real estate contract acquisition and management for renewable energy projects. This position will provide practical hands-on experience in searching title records, facilitating community education events, participating in landowner engagement efforts, negotiating real estate contracts, and providing general contract management.
 
This position will be located at the corporate headquarters in Juno Beach, allowing interns the opportunity to collaborate with other departments involved in renewable energy project development. The program will also involve multi-day trips to field locations to allow interns to experience real estate rights acquisition and title research in a variety of locations across the country.
 
  • Open to all undergraduate majors. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • This internship will require approximately 25% travel outside of Florida at company expense.
  • Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered.
Job Overview
To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
