Book Keeper/ Financia Controller

The Financial Controller at LFA Machines will be responsible for the financial wellbeing of the company. On a day to day basis, this will include keeping the books reconciled for all 3 regional offices (UK, USA and Taiwan).
 
This opportunity offers the right person a great possibility for growth. They will get to learn an international angle of accounting not normally seen in small business. The chance to learn the VAT rules of the UK/EU as well as international transfer pricing.
If successful after a 12-month probationary period, they could be promoted to join the management team in all management meetings. LFA is a fast-growing company and the candidate could in time grow into the CFO.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. We have some in place but they need building out.
  • Preparing financial reports. Management Accounts, Profit & Loss, Income Statements as well as Balance Sheets.
  • Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Balances bank accounts, accounts by reconciling entries with invoices, receipts and PO’s.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed by participating in budgeting processes.
  • Analyzing financial data and feedback the information into the team at a director level.
  • Monitoring internal controls. Making sure that the rest of the team are following the financial policies and procedures.
  • Developing plans for financial growth. Working with the rest of the management team to identify areas in the business to make savings and grow revenues.
  • Coordinating with 3rd parties in any auditing processes.
  • They will work closely with our CPA’s in each country to coordinate tax filings.
  • They will be responsible for all accounts payable and accounts receivable.
 
Job Requirements
 
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Compliance oriented.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Analytical skills.
