Marketing Promotions & Communications Associate and/or Intern (entry level)

Hourly Part-time (average range 16 to 28+ hours weekly). This could be a permanent role or an Internship of at least one year.

SCOPE:

PROMOTIONS & COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING (10%). Assist Leadership in promotional and communications quarterly and annual planning. Participate in monthly store planning meetings. Responsible for promotional and communications monthly calendar and staff communications. Recommends communications and promotional executions and events. Track and report results.

PROMOTIONS & COMMUNICATIONS DEVELOPMENT (60%). Under the direction of Leadership and feedback from store management, develop/create promotion and communications for in-store, Internet, and mobile store applications. This includes, events; email creation; POP/signage/banners; coupons; display advertising; and other as assigned.    

PROMOTIONS & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATION (30%). Under the direction of Leadership, lead in the execution and internal team communications for promotions and communications. This includes being the driving force and coordinator for social media and email. Other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION
High School diploma required
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (or working toward it) in a related Marketing or Design function

GENERAL SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to apply Marketing concepts to real-world applications
Ability to work independently
Ability to lead and interact with team
Manage multiple projects; prioritize and manage own workload
Strong time and project management

COMPUTER & TECH
Microsoft Office experience required
Adobe InDesign required (can learn on the job)
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preferred (must learn)
Must be comfortable running basic database reports
Must be able to run Internet-based programs
Must be comfortable with online social media and posting tools

GENERAL
Understand and passion in tea (including history and brewing process)
 Comfortable in relationship selling model
Previous coursework or job experience in professional design and/or photography preferred, but not required
