Junior Software Developer: Java/C++

As a valued contributor to our software team your responsibilities will include (1) collaborative brainstorming and problem solving to define requirements, objectives and potential solutions; (2) develop and test software from inception to deployment in the intelligence and defense communities; and (3), testing and maturing software with new ideas and customer feedback as part of an agile team.

Junior Software Developer Citizenship Requirements:
Due to the nature of work, qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs you will need to be eligible to apply for and hold a US security clearance (selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment). However, if you have held an Active Secret clearance within the last two years we want to talk to you!

Junior Software Developer Requirements:
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and integrating Java-based applications and building web-based GUI applications to execute and display results based on existing Java and C++ scientific and engineering models. Additionally, applicant will work to establish and improve upon an innovative net-centric J2EE-based distributed calculation system.

If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. However, you need a BS in Computer Science with 1-2 years in C++ a/o Java work experience, or MS with 1 years’ experience, along with 3.0 GPA for either degree. Applicant needs expertise in Eclipse and Visual Studio (1-2 years). 

Standout candidates will have a desire, if not experience in, DoD modeling and simulation technology, mathematical skills, working with military personnel/operations. Experience using SubVersion and Git Configuration Management tools will put candidate at an advantage.
