About Our Group:
This Facilities Engineering Intern position will report to the Facilities Operations group at Seagate’s manufacturing site in Bloomington, MN. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, while working on real projects that provide lasting value to the Facilities Department and Seagate.
About the Role:
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, your primary project for the summer will be collecting data and populating a software based application that has been designed to track manufacturing tools installed on site and associate them to the site utilities they are connected to. The software application has been developed and partially populated. Activities associated with this project include:
- Understanding site utilities to develop an implementation plan for the application
- Surveying existing tools installed on site to document utilities and sources connected to them
- Populating the application with data collected
- Provide both written and oral updates to management on the progress of project
- Interface directly with other engineers, technicians, and contractors
In addition to this primary project, you may also assist with tool install coordination of new manufacturing tools and work on other facilities projects.
About You:
- Current student pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering degree
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Strong team player
- Ability to work inside a cleanroom environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently when needed
Your experience may include:
- Familiarity with databases would be helpful
- Proficient in use of MS Office programs
