Reciprocal Exchange Intern, Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Leadership Practice

POSITION SUMMARY:
Intern will support programming for the Reciprocal Exchange Component of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, along with additional support to the Alumni Team. The intern will also provide assistance in the planning and implementation of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit.
 
 
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with reading and reviewing Reciprocal Exchange applications
  • Collect, track and organize Awardee documents and deliverables and transfer key data into Salesforce database
  • Prepare and process Awardee payments
  • Purchase travel health insurance for Awardees
  • Assist with reviewing Final Reports and writing project summaries for database entries
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to planning and implementation of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit
  • Other duties as assigned
 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, pursuing Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience with and interest in international education, particularly in the region of sub-Saharan Africa is preferred.
  • Proficient in major social media platform use (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
