Quality Control Fill-In (Part Time)

The Coated Products Operations “CPO” consists of three manufacturing plants, 4 slitting and distribution centers, and a majority interest partnership in Mexico. The CPO manufactures pressure sensitive label stock, utilizing a variety of face stock, adhesive and release liner combinations. Product capabilities include an expanded film line, as well as traditional paper, foil and thermal offerings. The Coated Products facility in Green Bay has recently completed a major expansion, making this plant a state of the art facility. The expansion has doubled the size of this plant, and includes a new building, Coater, Slitters and Automated Sequencing System.
 
Green Bay Packaging, Inc., Coated Products Division is currently seeking part time support for our Quality Control Laboratory. This is a year-round, part time position averaging 30 hours per week. The work schedule varies each week to fill openings in the full time QC staff. The lab schedule is rotating M-F 12-hour shifts and work on both day and night shifts will be required.   The rotating schedule allows for weekends off with occasional Saturday work.  General responsibilities will include testing rolls of label stock, testing adhesives, computer entry, communication with operating crews and lab staff. The Quality Lab is climate controlled for a comfortable work environment. Lab employees travel in the operating areas so personal protective equipment including safety shoes, hearing protection and eye protection are provided and required.

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
  • Knowledge of computers for data entry
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent attendance history
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work day and night shifts
·     The ideal candidate will be a part time student with a very flexible work schedule or a recent graduate looking to gain valuable lab and manufacturing experience. 
 
Job Type: Laboratory
Starting Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 / hour depending on education and experience.
Successful candidates will be considered for full time openings within Green Bay Packaging.
