Process Engineer Co-op

This position will help in ensuring quality and efficiency standards are being met in the department. This position will be very hands-on and involves working in a production and office environment. Duties and Responsibilities - Work on current HVAC assembly lines - Improve assembly line efficiency through method and time studies - Address daily process issues relating to quality - Identification and implementation of cost saving measures relating to HVAC components - Identification and implementation of cost saving measures relating to the HVAC assembly process - Updating maintaining of all process documentation [i.e. Operator Work Instructions, Process FMEA’s, surveillance plans] - Participate as Process Engineering representative in Project Teams for the implementation of minor major design changes to current HVAC design - Implement KOSU/Hoshin improvements along with process improvements - Aid in reducing maintenance downtime - Help analyze breakdowns and come up with solid solutions - Understand and use the FMEA process - Other engineering projects and duties as assigned Education, Training, Skills, and Experience - Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related engineering field - Advanced computer skills required (Proficient in MS Office products, especially MS Excel) - Ability to multi-task - Must be able to effectively communicate [written and oral] Applicants must possess all of the above skills and abilities and must submit an updated resume to be considered for this position.
