The department has engineering systems responsibilities for weapons and ammo handling, hydraulics, fuels, fire suppression, blast attenuating seating, integrating and shock mounting of electronic displays/boxes, gearboxes, steering and braking to name several.
Assist and work with engineers on various assignments/projects related to the business of the TCV Mechanical Engineering Department. Support given in projects includes…
>analysis & design
>drawing mark-ups
>tolerance stacks
>source data assistance
>writing material procurement requests and/or shop requests
>chasing parts and participating in design hardware fit-checks
>report writing
Position Requirements:
- College student working on a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering with a focus of Mechanical.
- Must be able to work in a shop environment.
- Must be able to work overtime if deemed necessary
- Knowledge of CREO, Pro-E and/or NX CAD system(s) is highly desired.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings is desired.
- Candidate must have attained Sophomore status (completed Freshman year requirements)
- Candidate must be at least 18 years old
- Candidate must currently be attending an accredited 4-year university or college
- Candidate must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- The student must be able to complete a minimum of a 3 month assignment and work full time for the duration.
