Sustainability Advocate - Paid Internship
Citizens Campaign for the Environment (CCE) is hiring campaign staff to help protect our drinking water and our waterways in CT. Work with us over the summer to promote environmentally sound legislation and make an impact on long term sustainability in CT.
Current Campaign:
Per- and polyfluoroakyl substances (or PFAS) are toxic chemicals that are recognized by the EPA as "emerging contaminents." This class of chemicals is used in everything from food packaging to firefighting foam, and has been linked to testicular cancer, kidney disease, and developmental delays in young children. Through testing, PFAS has been found in every major water district in CT, and there is currently no drinking water standard for these chemicals on the federal level. Join us in our fight to make CT a leader on this issue setting the strongest drinking water standard in the country!
We are looking for interns to join our staff this fall and winter ( or Summer 2020) that have a passion for environmental or social justice issues, non-profit work, or politics and possess strong oral and written communication skills. If this is you, apply today! Ideal candidates will have previous campaign experience, but we are willing to train the right people.

Hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm. Part time is available, with a required commitment of at least 3 days a week.
Full time pay is $540-650/week with opportunity for bonuses.
