APPAREL MERCHANDISER - WOMEN'S

If you are looking for an opportunity to showcase your passion and drive to be on a winning merchandising team, this is the role for you! This Merchandising role is based at our global headquarters in Kenosha, WI - an easy commute from Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL areas. We're seeking an enthusiastic Merchandiser to assist in the growth, productivity and profitability of assigned apparel categories in our Merchandising division, primarily in sleepwear categories! This exciting role has a voice in supporting the development of U.S. product strategies, working alongside our talented Merchandising team! This role will entail product line management, working with external vendors and accounts, as well as on-air channels (QVC, etc.) of distribution. Come explore JOCKEY – known for our exceptional products … and employee talent!


Job Scope:
  • Perform in-depth competitive and business trend analysis. Provide weekly analysis on business analytics for business optimization.
  • Develop strategic plans for both existing and new channels of distribution.
  • Provide market opportunity intelligence to the product teams.
  • Manage GTM briefing processes and communications.
  • Maintain and manage merchandising calendars.
  • Recommend seasonal line plan to product teams; contribute to product brief construction.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Business, Product Development, and Design teams to support the development of product strategies and support sell-in and sell-through activities.
  • Gather all necessary financial data, COGS to develop/recommend pricing strategy.
  • Manage the development, planning, and initial forecasting of product assortments.
  • Support the development of U.S. product strategies with the VP of Merchandising.


Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ related experience; women’s apparel experience desired.
  • Solid understanding of market/consumer insights with ability to transform into product offerings.
  • Ability to manage and lead professionally and effectively.
  • Knowledge and skill in product principles and techniques.
  • Leverage financial principles and systems to maximize business results.
  • Ability to identify gaps and recommend additions to current product assortments.
  • Demonstrated ability to profitably manage and grow a business.
