About the Program
Our 10-week, paid Corporate Internship Program begins June 1, 2020. This program offers college students the opportunity to fully immerse in the day-to-day activities of the business unit. Throughout the program, students will build upon their current skillsets and work in a collaborative environment, while learning from subject matter experts across the organization. They will participate in projects that work toward company objectives,resulting in new solutions that inspire innovation both at JHA and across the fintech industry.

Internship Description
Jack Henry & Associates has an opportunity for an intern to join the Episys Technology Development team. In this position, an intern will be an active participation in the migration of an application. The chosen candidate will work with the SQL Server Database and use the Java language. 

About the Episys Technology Development Team
This team is responsible for designing and developing the Database Evolution technology for Symitar’s Episys platform. The Database Evolution team in the Episys Technology Department is responsible for evolving the data storage and access for Episys from the proprietary hierarchical database (HDB) to a proprietary relational model (SEDB) and SQL Server (SSDB). The emphasis is on providing 24/7 available OLTP data platform for Episys, and give our customers the option to run Episys on SQL Server. 

Minimum Qualifications
A Student Must:
  1. Currently be enrolled at an accredited university or college
  2. Pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Architecture and Engineering, or Computer Networks
  3. Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  4. Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship with minimum absences 
  5. Completed their sophomore year of college (at minimum) 
  6. Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Currently enrolled in graduate school for Computer Science 
  • Microsoft and other modern programming/software engineering related certifications and/or an active desire to pursue such certifications 
  • A curiosity and drive to provide contemporary approaches and ideas with enough self-independence to follow that curiosity 
  • Basic understanding of today’s modern Fintech industry
