About the Program
Our 10-week, paid Corporate Internship Program begins June 1, 2020. This program offers college students the opportunity to fully immerse in the day-to-day activities of the business unit. Throughout the program, students will build upon their current skillsets and work in a collaborative environment, while learning from subject matter experts across the organization. They will participate in projects that work toward company objectives, resulting in new solutions that inspire innovation both at JHA and across the fintech industry.

Internship Description
Symitar, a Jack Henry & Associates company is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join their Episys Product Development team. Symitar, a division of Jack Henry & Associates (NASDAQ: JKHY), is the recognized leader in core data processing and ancillary technology solutions for U.S. credit unions. Founded as a private company in 1984, Symitar built its reputation by combining robust, flexible technology products with customer service levels that are unmatched in the industry. Its Episys® core platform quickly became the data processing system of choice for progressive credit unions of all sizes, including many of the largest in the country.
An Episys Software Engineer will work alongside experienced subject matter experts at JHA to participate in the technical design and implementation of new products and enhancements. A college student will have the opportunity to participate in all phases of the development cycle; including concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, and release to QA and implementation. 
The Episys Product Development team is an innovative and talented engineering team. A student can expect to work on developing a framework for modernizing the generation & reporting of member activity for the internal revenue service (IRS). The chosen candidate will have touchpoints with commercial software engineering that focus revolves around Fintech and cloud development. To be successful, a student should have advanced working knowledge in Java, C#, SQL, and HTML.
Minimum Qualifications

A Student Must: 
Currently be enrolled at an accredited university or college
Pursue a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Architecture and Engineering, or Computer Networks 
Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship with minimum absences 
Completed their sophomore year of college (at minimum) 
Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in graduate school for Computer Science
Microsoft and other modern programming/software engineering related certifications and/or an active desire to pursue such certifications 
A curiosity and drive to provide contemporary approaches and ideas with enough self-independence to follow that curiosity
Basic understanding of today’s modern Fintech industry
