Electrical Engineering Internship

§ Provides content and review of production team procedures in their specialty (Electrical) for accuracy. 
§ Ensures the electrical system model has been updated for new electrical supply and equipment connections.
§ Develops Electrical Switching activities and procedures.
§ Assures the steps of the Management of Change process are followed and completed for plant / process changes.
§ Assures that all electrical requirements for motor replacements, repairs, and changes are followed.
§ Models and keeps updated the production team run and maintain changes to the load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination studies, and arc flash studies on the SKM software for facilities. 
§ Provides review for the electrical engineering discipline in risk assessment and evaluations (i.e. HSE management process, MOC process, HAZOP and SHA, etc). 
§ Participates in causal investigations to understand equipment failures using RCM Work Process. 
§ Assists in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Electrical work on site and participation in T/A execution plans.
§ Provide engineering support to maintenance, operations and production organizations. (i.e. elimination of Bad Actors, implement changes to increase electrical site reliability, etc.) 
§ Provides support in the identification, development, implementation and training of Electrical Practices / Procedures.
§ Provides field support to the maintenance and inspection staff in the areas of retrofitting existing equipment, identification of needed repairs, selection of overhaul procedures, condition monitoring, and provide the interface with repair vendors.
§ Maintain a working knowledge in applying new and specific technologies related to Electrical condition monitoring and performance monitoring (i.e. Industrial Power Distribution, Partial Discharge testing, System condition monitoring, Infrared Temperature surveys, Protective Relaying, etc.). Review the data generated to determine the proper corrective action or interpretation. Share this information with other Electrical Engineer(s) for training purposes.
§ Review and update electrical information in Site Documents.
