Continuous Improvement Intern- Commercial
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director RBS, the Rexnord Business System (RBS) Commercial, the Intern will support the RBS team in driving commercial and financial performance through continuous improvement efforts. This individual will gain a unique experience learning business process improvement methods, working with various business functions, and process deployment. This person will be exposed to all elements of RBS applications of both operational excellence and 80/20 projects.
Responsibilities
- Learn the RBS toolkit, concepts, and practices that drive simplification and optimization in Zurn
- Participate in workshops and kaizen events designed to create optimization and efficiency in the Commercial team
- Actively support the corporate direction for Commercial RBS in strategic planning and commercial operations activities
- Learn and participate in RBS strategy development for enhancing commercial excellence
- Experience & practice how lean implementation is deployed by utilizing key lean tools; value stream maps, one-piece flow, standard work, Kanban, 5S, and visual management
- Assist in the documentation of future state improvement roadmaps
- Document “best practices” in company, and add to centralized sharing platform for associates
- Facilitate daily management for Commercial RBS team along all key metrics
