Graphic Design Intern - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering 1

KIE Proposal Services (KIEPS) is based in Denver, Colorado, and provides exceptional – best in class – proposal support services to Kiewit Infrastructure and Engineering Districts. KIEPS represents a shared services initiative for Kiewit Engineering Group and Kiewit Infrastructure Group, divisions of Kiewit Corporation. 
KIE Proposal Services has an internship opening in its group in Denver, CO. This intern position is temporary, starting in May or June 2020 and lasting for eight weeks. 
Position Summary:
Intern graphic designer to participate in the development of creating/designing proposal documents in response to requests for Statements of Qualifications, Proposals and Client Presentations. This is a position that will require the successful candidate to learn and apply new concepts and skills. This job will involve learning about graphic design applications in the proposal development process.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
•   Learn to develop and streamline theme concepts and creative design (including team logos, mood boards, etc.)
•   Assist in developing layout, infographics, and nontechnical graphics
•   Assist with the publishing process of a proposal
•   Participate in various proposal kickoff and milestone review meetings
•   Learn how to recognize areas in proposal to assign graphics
•   Learn how to manage deadlines and responsibilities assigned through responsibility matrix
•   Gain exposure to best practices, style guides and templates
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
•   Current active pursuit of Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication 
•   Working knowledge and skills in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Expertise Required:
•   Strong attention to detail, organization and active listening skills
•   Ability to work with different personalities, and take direction from senior staff 
•   Ability to meet deadlines while coordinating development of multiple proposal sections
•   Strong self-organization and time management skills
•   Strong communication skills within core group 
•   Self-motivated with ability to work well with professionals from various backgrounds
•   Ability to deliver quality work that meets requirements and deadlines
•   A focus on teamwork – ability to listen, collaborate, and communicate among colleagues, internal customers, and team partners
•   Willingness to learn and grow, with a desire for constant improvement
