Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer Internship offers a great opportunity for hands on learning environment. Student will work with Operations team on a project basis. 
 
Responsibilities
Possible project responsibilities:
  • Involved with evaluating and developing manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by being involved in analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, and workforce utilization.
  • Promote and participate in shop floor work flow analysis and creating/implementation of standard work to achieve improvement priorities.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Experience and Skill Required
  • Currently attending school for a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or similar.  
  • Must have completed course work relating to manufacturing.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week on a project assignment basis.
  • Available for summer of 2020 (May – August).
