Accounting Intern
Position Summary
Rexnord’s internship program is project-based and will afford the intern an ability to network with cross-functional teams. Project work typically includes positions in areas such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, Corporate Reporting, and Central Accounting. Interns will have a chance to work with our Zurn business, Process Motion and Control platform, and Corporate.
As a part of the intern program, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:
- Networking Events – Rexnord hosts multiple networking opportunities in the Summer that give you exposure to other interns, the leadership team, and executive leaders.
- Coaching and Mentoring – You will have a structured on boarding process to introduce you to Rexnord’s corporate culture and provide you regular feedback.
- Real Work Experience – Our internship process does not include getting coffee for your boss or running copies. We will provide you a real opportunity to run reports, share your analysis, and improve our processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventory standard costing activities for US SAP Process Sector plants and assist with standard costing and margin analysis activities
- Perform standard operational reporting for multiple plants, supporting daily management of the business, proactive management of costs and working capital, and to drive sustainable improvement
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in order to standardize processes and maximize the value of our SAP ERP system across the sector
- Provide ad hoc analyses to support Operations Finance

Experience and Skill Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Will have Junior academic status in the fall of 2020. GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Prior experience working in an office setting is a plus
- Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer 20 hours per week during the school year
