Net Software Developer Intern

Position Summary
The .Net Software Developer Intern will help transform Rexnord’s current state eCommerce & CRM solutions to be industry leading. We seek a student who understands how to apply solid development principles and knowledge to integrate best-in-class software solutions and create seamless experiences for our customers and our internal associates. As a member of a geographically dispersed team, this individual will work collaboratively within the team and will provide development and maintenance to support to top-priority projects.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Gather business requirements; document review application specifications 
  • Under supervision, implement software code changes; support project team members and review technical specifications
  • Evaluate and research technologies.  
  • Studies and reviews proof-of-concepts and prototypes as examples of leading development practices or patterns for solving business problems.  
  • Develop web applications using ASP.Net (C#) and AngularJS.
  • Consume RESTful API’s with ASP.Net, or TypeScript.
  • Provide maintenance of existing software applications. 
  • Develop code according to standards and specifications. 
  • Complete unit testing. 
  • Receive and implement peer code review feedback
  • Document development efforts and code changes on an on-going basis.

Experience and Skill Required
  • Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
  • 1 year of classroom related software development experience
  • 1 year of recent experience programming C#, ASP.NET and working knowledge of the Visual Studio 2017 IDE
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience a plus, but not required.
  • 1 year of experience with Transact SQL with working knowledge of SQL Server development is a plus.
  • 1 year of experience with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX or other similar technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Azure PaaS is a plus. 
  • Experience with unit testing is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of VSO (Visual Studio Online) / TFS (Team Foundation Service) a plus.
  • SharePoint 365 development experience a plus.
