Job Description:

The Senior Network Security Administrator administers and manages enterprise wide network security systems that support the information technology infrastructure of the College. This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of multiple systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Provides timely and rapid responses to the user community’s requests for assistance

•Completes status and statistical reports for network security events and compliance

•Monitors security events for security incidents and investigates causes

•Proposes configuration changes to improve system security

•Installs and configures systems software

•Provides systems level support for multiple security systems

•Provides systems technical support and assistance; monitors system operations

•Develops and maintains system documentation

•Troubleshoots problems with systems and related College equipment

•Designs, analyzes, and conducts diagnostic support

•Oversees capacity planning and system integrity

 

Minimum Requirements: 

•Six (6) years of progressive experience in implementing complex network and network security technologies

•Knowledge of authentication and access control

•Knowledge of security systems architecture and design

•Knowledge of operations security procedural and technical controls

•Knowledge of operating systems, protocols, architectures designs and configurations

•Knowledge of Internet services such as SSH, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, DHCP and DNS

•Ability to write and develop IT related design and development documentation and reports
