Mechanical Engineering Intern

SMMA is seeking an intern to support our Mechanical Engineering team, a talented group of designers and problem-solvers. This position involves assisting engineers in all phases of building project mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare HVAC drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software
  • Assist in the calculation of building heating, cooling, and ventilation requirements utilizing calculation software
  • Assist in systems design and selection of HVAC equipment

Requirements:
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering and/or Architecture
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to learn
  • Team player
  • Interested in Building Construction and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems
  • Familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design programs
