Digital Content Internship

The Digital Content Internship is designed to give interns a chance to create relevant, engaging and accurate content for our FindLaw attorney clients nation-wide, just as a full-time employee would be expected to do. In this role, you will have the opportunity to write a variety of content types, including online marketing copy, informational/journalistic blog posts, video scripts and social media posts. We supplement this work with amazing opportunities to network with top executives across TR, in-depth training in our corporate culture, and plenty of volunteer and fun activities to make the summer memorable. As a Digital Content Intern, you are asked to strive towards several key milestones and goals. These include:

  • Research and write content that meets internal best practices, industry standards and corporate policies
  • Revise content based on internal or external feedback
  • Meet established deliverable deadlines and quality expectations
  • Complete a project assignment and deliver a final presentation outlining the project, results and key learning

In order to be successful attaining these goals, you will:  

  • Be an accomplished writer. Demonstrate the ability to write compelling content consistent with a customer’s legal practice areas and geography, while leveraging your understanding of digital performance measurements to refine and improve overall writing effectiveness.
  • Actively collaborate. Consult with internal partners to understand client business goals, brand differentiators, target audiences, tone and voice. Participate in team and cross-functional groups to complete varied work assignments.
  • Be an agile learner. Demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn new knowledge and acquire new skills, balancing assignments across multiple processes and projects.
  • Exercise strong decision-making skills and judgment. Show the ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and then to choose the most appropriate one in a specific situation.
  • Act with integrity. Our actions reflect our values and our principles. We always need to be able to distinguish between right and wrong.
  • Be tenacious. Display determination, persistence, patience and resilience in the face of adversity.

To be considered, you have these qualifications:

  • Be entering your junior or senior year of college, preferably pursuing a degree in English, Communications or Journalism
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple and/or conflicting projects and priorities
  • Deadline-driven and able to achieve output goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple computer systems ranging from MS Office products to internal business systems
  • Proven customer service skills (troubleshooting, creative problem solving) with a focus on finding solutions
  • Internet writing experience in legal, marketing, social media or journalism field is preferred
  • Relevant writing samples are accepted
