Education Program Intern

National, Park Service, Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation, Education Program Intern: The intern will work with Olmsted Center staff to develop both distance learning and field based, hands-on, educational programs in cultural landscape preservation skills for National Park Service employees. Duties will include development of class curriculum, delivery, and evaluation methodology; and support in planning and coordinating skills training classes and other Olmsted Center educational initiatives. Experience and training in one or more of the following required: education curriculum development for adults, historic preservation, public horticulture, public facility management, and/or environmental education. Excellent communication skills and the ability to utilize technology to design successful distance learning experiences through webinars and other technology is highly desirable. This is a great opportunity to further build teaching and curriculum development credentials. The National Park Service Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation works with national parks to manage cultural landscapes that reflect our national heritage. The Center provides research, planning, stewardship and education services to parks in the Northeast Region, from Maine to Virginia.  Full-time Internship located in Philadelphia or Boston.
